How to Use This Service
page
Step 1:
Select your location.
Choose the province/territory and
local government where you want to open or expand your business. If your
jurisdiction is not listed, please contact your local government offices or a
government business service centre near you for more information on the permits
and licences that you may require. BizPaL is continuously growing across Canada,
so check back soon.
Step 2: Select an industry
activity.
Either pick a business category or
search for a specific keyword.
Step 3: Answer questions
about your business.
Once a location and an industry are
selected, the wizard will ask you a number of questions about the activities
that will be required for your business type. If you are unsure what the
question means, try clicking on the help button for definitions or extra
information to clarify the question. You must click either 'yes' or 'no' for
each question before proceeding. If you are unsure, we suggest you click 'yes'
so that the output includes the most comprehensive list of approvals.
Step 4: Output.
BizPaL will provide you with: a
summary of your answers; a list of permits, licences and other approvals
required based on your answers, and information about each requirement. Links to
find relevant forms or websites and contact information are provided for you to
determine who to contact and how to find application forms.
Print the output for future
reference. Or copy and paste it into a document to save it on your computer.
We would very much like to receive
your feedback. If you have any comments, encountered any problems or would like
